Field of Dreams is arguably the most-well known baseball movie. “If you build it, they will come” remains such a solid piece of pop culture that it almost doesn’t matter if you’ve seen the movie or not. You already know Field of Dreams.
Baseball is about cheating. That’s maybe overstating it a bit, but it’s an accepted part of the game that players often bend the rules to their advantage. The key is just not to break the rules. Or, at least, not get caught.
Bull Durham (1988, directed by Ron Shelton) is the first of the classic baseball movies starring Kevin Costner. That doesn’t have much to do with anything but I felt like pointing it out.

the Natural is good. It’s even great in that award-bait way, which this absolutely is. Nothing here is particularly surprising, but there is an economy to the filmmaking that lets this movie breathe.
